Hyperdance Teacher - Zoe Spearman

Ever since I was young, I have loved to dance and perform. Starting at the age of 4, I studied many forms of dance, including Calisthenics and Classical Ballet. Wanting to broaden my talents in other forms of dance, I trained at North Eastern Academy of Dance where I studied Jazz and Tap for nearly ten years. In high school, I took a break from dancing, but performed in the School Aerobics Competitions to get my dose of performing!

While studying at University to become a teacher, I was able to introduce the children to dance and movement through my placements. In my first years at Holy Family Catholic School, I taught a group and entered them in the School Aerobics Competition. Now every class I teach as a Primary school teacher gets to participate in Dance as part of our Arts program.

When I started at Hyperdance in 2008, it was my first time performing for quite a few years and it made me realise how much I'd missed it! Over the last few years with Hyperdance I have had the opportunity to perform at many functions, fundraisers, concerts and promotional events across Adelaide. In 2011, I also danced with Desalyne Dance Company to further my skills in Jazz, Neo-classical and Hip Hop.

I am looking forward to many more performance opportunities with Hyperdance as part of their Advanced Jazz and Hip Hop crews, as well asteaching the Kids age 5-7 Hip Hop class!
