Hyperdance Teacher - Ricky-Jai

Adelaide born and raised, Ricky-Jai started dancing at a young age and has a natural talent for performing. Inspired by Hip-Hop culture, his love of Hip-Hop and R&B music has led Ricky to become a great freestyle dancer. Getting involved with Dancelinx in 2009, Ricky joined the ‘Linx Dancers and has performed with the group at various events and functions around Adelaide.

Ricky is a member of Hip-Hop crew ADM (Adelaide Dance Movement) along with founding members and Adelaide’s top choreographers Jenna Walasek and Ryan Turner. ADM won 2010’s Groove Adelaide Hip-Hop competition and went on to Melbourne to compete in the World Supremacy Battlegrounds. The crew was also crowned Adelaide’s Best Dance Crew at the Poreotics’ (America’s Best Dance Crew) Tic Tic Tour in October 2010, taking out first place in the competition. Ricky continues to perform around Adelaide in events such as the Nike store opening and Port Power’s 2010 Best and Fairest.

Ricky's unique style and patient teaching methods are an asset to Hyperdance, and he enjoys working with brand new beginners as well as the more experienced students.
