Hyperdance Principal Teacher - Christina Bennett C.S.T.D
Dance has always been my passion! From a young age I studied many different styles of dance, with Jazz and Tap being my main focus. I worked my way through the C.S.T.D examinations, and studied dance as a subject throughout high school. I worked closely with students at the Dance school I attended, choreographing and teaching routines for the Festival Theatre stage, and teaching the C.S.T.D Exam syllabus. I also travelled interstate to work with some of Australia's most highly respected choreographers.
In 1993 I was accepted into the Centre for Performing Arts (now Adelaide Centre for the Arts) where I studied dance full time. I continued with my exam and performance work, receiving Honours in my final Jazz Ballet teachers exam.
In 1996 I began working as a freestyle podium dancer at nightclubs and raves. This eventually led me to Heaven nightclub where I became Dance Coordinator. During my eight years at Heaven I was privileged to dance alongside some of the world's best DJ's and performers. The Heaven dancers were very well known and respected in the industry and I have many fond memories!
In 2001 I started Hyperdance and my passion for dance is still as strong as ever! I love to teach and have continued to develop my skills over the years whilst teaching students of all ages at many different places. These include S.A Casting, where I have taught movement classes to drama students for several years. I also teach at Primary and Secondary schools and one of my highlights was teaching some amazing kids at Camp Quality.
